New course for managers in international agricultural companies
DFA Manager Study Program – a training course targeted mid-level managers in agricultural companies
DFA Manager Study Program is a practical leadership training course targeted mid-level managers with responsibility for employees – either as team- , section or farm managers. During the 13 month training program, the participants will be offered15 training days divided on four seminars.
The 2015/16 Program will initiate in week 12, 2015 and the participants are having their first training day 17 March in Denmark. Our intention is to start a team having totally 15-16 participants including min. 5-6 crop managers.
The DFA Manager Study Program is based on the good experiences with the FPM concept, which has been executed 5 times since 2009 and totally 75 managers have been trained in the program– mostly pig and crop managers.
This new training concept is an adjusted version of the FPM concept according to the feed-back we have got from the companies having managers at the FPM. The new program has been improved in the Production management training and it is a little bit shorter in order to establish a more quick and adequate transfer for the participants from the course to be part of experience exchange groups. That is why this new course has been reduced to 15 days and three of the four seminars take places in Denmark in order to include visits at farms having good facilities for practical training in production management. The fourth seminar will take place in Slovakia in corporation with Dan-Slovakia.
On each af the four seminars Production management as well as Personal management is a key topic. Other topics will be Human Resource management and Lean in farming. The Danish located seminars take place at Business Academy Aarhus – the former Vejlby Agricultural College north of Aarhus city center.
Please find other information in the attached pamphlet or visit the Danish Farmers Abroad homepage and find more detailed information about the program for the 4 seminars.
